Software Test Developer Assistant Vice President - Mississauga Ontario Canada | CIti Job

We are looking for a hard-working, and driven Automation QA Engineer to become a valuable addition to our team. The perfect fit is someone who enjoys challenges, navigates ambiguity, and can adjust to shifting priorities. Your role will be in maintaining, extending, and refining our automation framework alongside a skilled and diverse team in different geographical locations.

Responsibilities:

• Creates, maintains, and executes automated UI and API tests.
• Build tools to improve the testability of software. 
• Performs functional, regression and end-to-end tests to ensure that systems and or applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
• Works closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to develop and review test plans, test cases and scripts.
• Identifies defects and recommends appropriate course of action; performs root cause analyses. Escalates issues and blockers in timely fashion.
• Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements for testing activity.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
• Use GitHub and other AI assisted tools to improve speed, coverage and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years experience with Java, Python, Kubernetes, SQL
• 3+ years experience and strong coding skills in at least one modern language – Java, Python, C#.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building BDD automation framework using Cucumber Selenium, Cypress, or Mocha
• Good understanding of databases and object-oriented design.
• Familiar with tools like Postman, JIRA, Zephyr, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of how microservice based architectures work.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Good communication skills.
• Prefer candidates having prior experience in Loan IQ.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
