Job Summary:

  • Use pneumatic hand tools to deburr and restore non-rotating hot section aero engine turbine airfoil components to their original contour.
  • Includes polishing or blending to clean repair surfaces and blending of excessive braze alloy flush with parent material.
  • This position shift is Friday thru Sunday, from 5 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanically remove weld, braze, m-fill, and other materials on assigned parts
  • Re-contour material to specific dimensions per written instructions
  • Perform grit blast and air blast operations per written instructions
  • Select appropriate air tools and accessories for each blending operation
  • Examine own work for compliance to written instructions
  • Perform maintenance and lubrication on blending tools
  • Ensure all environment, health and safety rules, requirements, and procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain work area in a clean orderly manner

Basic Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • U.S. Person required due to government contracts or permanent resident status

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 months Aerospace experience
  • 3 months experience with  Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 months experience with SAP

Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Pratt & Whitney WITCHITA FALLS, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
