Job Summary:

The CSMC organization has an open position in materials leading logistics for the Middletown campus.  This position will have general oversight of these operations and responsibilities include execution of material movement and systems, coaching and training of personnel, and procurement ownership to consumables and services.  This individual will lead and manage value stream transformation initiatives regarding strategic materials management architecture and implementation of lean release strategies, handling methods, kitting strategies and transportation methods

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction to Manufacturing Cell Leaders and QA Leaders on prioritization of CSMC materials.
• Work with materials organization on Vendor Assist and Temporary Vendor Assist scheduling and prioritization of critical CSMC commitments.
• Provide leadership and guidance to manage all accruals, WIP, QN and PPX aging.
• Support ACE, lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput, and delivery integrity.
• Support and participate in the execution of the lean logistic transformation plan.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the distribution of material to and from manufacturing cells and module assembly.
• Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained in all warehouses.
• Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.
• Support all Company obligations as they relate to Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, contracting with the United States Government and Administration of FAA policies and procedures.
• Requires availability on all shifts and weekends.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years professional experience delivering Materials/Warehouse services, such as delivery assurance, materials analytics, logistics, and 3PL management
• 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• US Citizenship is also a requirement.
• Bachelor Degree in Materials, Logistics, Operations or related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to manage people
• Strong organizational, teaming, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively interface at all organizational levels
• Detail and results-oriented with good problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver on commitments while balancing strategic, business and competing priorities
• Strong business acumen and demonstrated working knowledge of financial modeling
• ACE associate and/or Six Sigma, Lean, or demonstrated experience with [continuous] process improvement
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Familiarity with export requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s level degree in Materials, Logistics, Operations or related discipline
• Prior experience in a manufacturing operations environment, supporting both hourly and salaried populations
• Travel Requirements - 10%
