As an analyst in the Long Term Planning (LTP) - Middle Mile Analytics team, you will be responsible for creating robust and explainable plans which determine the future of Amazon’s outbound Middle Mile (MM) network in Europe. We use modeling and analysis to project MM flows and KPIs for a 1 to 3+ year time horizon, driving decisions on savings initiatives, network connectivity, productivity and Sort Center topology. We operate in a cross-functional environment, planning alongside other miles and interacting closely with partners across finance, SCOT, ATS and STEP network design teams.

This is a highly visible position that requires interacting with multiple business teams, collaborating with tech teams, and interaction with senior leaders. The role requires a deep understanding of the end-to-end supply chain of Amazon and the ability to simplify it into explainable plans. The day to day activities consist of approximately 30% stakeholder/project management and 70% analytical activities.

Key job responsibilities
* Collecting and auditing model inputs, working with external stakeholders to understand the reasons for changes
* Running and configuring analytical models to produce network plans
* Auditing model outputs to ensure quality and explainability of plans
* Solving new and ambiguous planning problems as they arise; sometimes under time pressure
* Contributing to the documentation and presentation of modeling results
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of planning models and processes, working with TPMs and BIEs

- Operations is at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is on behalf of our customers, as surpassing their expectations is our passion. We improve customer experience through continuously optimizing the complex movements of goods from vendors to customers throughout Europe.
- The Supply Chain, Transportation Planning & Operational Excellence (EU STEP) is a team responsible for the end-to-end flow of goods from our vendors and sellers to Amazon customers all over Europe, in order to ensure a speedy and reliable customer delivery in the cheapest way possible.
- Long Term Planning - Transformation Programs team is focused on delivering the most critical cross-functional initiatives and finding solutions to lower Amazon cost-to-serve. We work with operations teams, Retail and FBA, finance, tech teams to improve our ability to serve customers with faster speed and at lower cost.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience with Excel
- Relevant experience in analysing data and creating reports for leadership
- Relevant experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Knowledge of SQL
- Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience in supply chain
