As our System Administrator Intern, you will manage and support systems globally to help the Aviation industry move undisrupted. You will be responsible for the messaging data in transit to ensure the on-time arrival for you, your friends and families, and all passengers flying around the globe. The systems you will manage support over 1,500 aviation customers, transmitting over 75 million messages daily across the Aviation community. We are seeking a highly motivated student with an ambitious and diverse technical background to support and contribute to this awesome mission. This role is onsite, in Annapolis, MD.

This position may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Manage computer systems and networks at a Data Center in Annapolis, MD.
• Support on-site activities including racking devices, cabling, and deploying new systems.
• Ensure that systems are running efficiently, securely, and are up to date with the latest patches.
• Work closely with our System Admins, Software Engineers, and Systems Engineers team to troubleshoot issues and support implementation solutions for the Aviation community.
• Monitor system-wide performance and report status to Tech Lead, Technical Program Manager, and Engineering Manager.

Basic Qualifications:  

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of the Linux CLI, debugging tools, and network stack.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Basic knowledge of core networking, subnetting, firewalls, and routing.
