Have you ever wanted to build a highly technical team on the forefront of advanced technology? 

The Digital Controls group is looking for someone with a deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise who wants to build our advanced computation organization. The Associate Director will build, cultivate, and manage a multi-core development team.  This organization will develop the computation platforms for our advanced control and diagnostic products.

Hybrid: This is a HYRBID position. Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite, with the ratio of time working onsite being determined in partnership with your manger.

What YOU will do:

  • Develop the processes, methods and organizational health of the Digital Controls team specific to multi-core design and certification
  • Create and refine multi-core software architectures for embedded control and diagnostic systems
  • Develop multi-core software standards & training for company-wide use.
  • Ensure software meets performance metrics through utilization of instrumentation and benchmarks
  • Manage a team of professionals through:
    • Mentoring
    • Associate development
    • Outsourcing oversight
    • Resource planning
    • Strategic planning
  • Develop a strong customer centric culture which empowers the team through trust
  • Lead Associate Development initiatives and hire a talented and diverse team
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate associated the planning, design, development, and utilization of control and diagnostic systems

Skills YOU Must Have:

  • Proficiency in embedded computing systems/architectures, multi-core design & verification, and aerospace software product lifecycles.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Computer Engineering) and 12 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Skills We Value:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Master’s degree and/or MBA
  • 5 years of supervisory experience leading engineering and/or technical support teams
  • Strong understanding of multi-core processor microarchitectures including cache implementation, instruction pipelining, memory coherency mechanisms
  • Experience with RTCA DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-297 or other relevant safety critical development guidance
  • Knowledge of industry standard computing technologies such as PCIe, VPX, Ethernet
