Job Summary:

Raytheon is hiring for a Procurement Associate Director role within the Planning, Procurement and Logistics organization. This position provides leadership and strategy for the execution of complex production, development, and engineering subcontracts in support of all RTX business Units and reports to the Director of Procurement.

This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Leads and develops high performing work teams that contribute to the overall success of the Procurement departments vision and strategy.
  • Ensures the execution of all subcontracting activity is in compliance with current regulations and Raytheon processes.
  • Responsible for overall supplier performance and execution to support program execution and Raytheon financial objectives.
  • Collaborates across functional organizations to develop solutions and ensure supplier performance supports the needs of the organization. Communicate effectively and routinely on all supply chain issues, including subcontract performance to Vice Presidents, program teams and functional leaders.
  • Establish and develop strong business partner relationships with critical suppliers to drive accountability and performance. Exercise strong business acumen to connect technical concerns to ultimate contract performance and proactively identify and resolve problems and customer concerns efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate Procurement metrics for trends and root causes and formulate proactive plans to ensure overall program success.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Experience in supply chain management, subcontract management, and managing the performance of supply base
  • Experience with financial impacts of decisions on the organization’s budget and the program to include managing cost, schedule and/or performance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a large industry or across multiple business units, procurement, program management, engineering, quality, and operations.
  • Experience with Energetic and Propulsion Products
  • Experience with team building, conflict resolution, and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment.
  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors within RTX, as well as with the customer

Additional Information:

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. 

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
