This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024. May be eligible for relocation.

Project Engineering intern will have well-developed organizational, communication and technical skills. Develops small product plans as needed in support of project needs, performs critical analysis and technical support, supports and participates in testing, drawing reviews, report generation, pursues cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitors project performance where applicable. Identifies and reacts to project or technical challenges and recommends solutions; flexible in supporting multiple project needs as they arise throughout the session.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.

  • Participates in root cause investigations, develops fault trees, presents findings to management and customers and travels as necessary to vendor sites/testing sites to support investigation.

  • Performs analysis, drawing reviews, data reviews, testing and other technical work where necessary to support program milestones and deliverables.

  • Helps to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for small projects and suggests appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan, schedule, and budget if applicable.

  • Pursues all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.

  • Identifies and reacts to project challenges and recommends solutions.

  • Liaises between project management, planning, and project teams where applicable.

  • Works closely with lead engineer to support program technical tasks.

  • Reviews project and budget status if assigned to such tasking; manages small schedules and prepares reports as needed.

  • Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
