Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing/Operations Program Manager in El Paso, Texas who will be responsible for a team of managers supporting overall implementation of production and development type contracts within the depot operations in a defense contractor setting. You will educate, manage and lead the team through all program activity ensuring adherence to program schedule, cost, and technical performance as well as preparing corrective action plans for technical and schedule issues, and coordinate/follow through proposal preparation.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Manage WIP (Work in Progress) through the different MDO departments such as wire room, repair labs, machine shop, prep, and/or paint.
  • Support the phases of product life cycle, beginning with proposal and BOE development, continuing through production implementation and extending to support to the customer and supply chain.
  • Submitting and reporting financials such as, Estimate at Completion, Estimate to Complete, and/or Basis of Estimate to customers.
  • Supporting Daily tag ups with operation leaders to ensure assigned hours to individual tasks were met.
  • Preparing weekly reports for actuals such as hours, cost and name run for each R&R repair unit.
  • Disposition authority for reworking any items to print or if repair required coordinated the secondary evaluation through program and disposition when direction was granted from customer.
  • Accountable for achieving all internal financial targets, supporting process improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance to all applicable policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • 8 years of experience in any of these areas: Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Program/Project Management
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You are a thoughtful, creative problem-solver.
  • You have successfully lead project teams and continually motivating improvements.
  • Experience with a diverse portfolio of manufactured products within Manufacturing Depot Operations (MDO)
  • Previous collaboration experience in a matrix organization supporting multiple product lines.
  • Previous interaction with functional resources including Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering and Production
