As a System Engineer Intern within the Sensors: Ground Radars & Platforms Department, you will interface with the customer to develop CONOPS, system architecture, system requirements and manage qualification, verification and validation. You will also perform functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies. You will support engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle.  Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

This position is an onsite role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate standing by Summer 2024
  • Pursuing a BS, MS or Post Graduation Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
  • 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Experience or coursework in System Design
  • Matlab and/or C++ experience Modeling and Simulation experience
  • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
  • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills  Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems 
  • Proven strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment   Ability to problem solve and seek out additional resources
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution style
