Role Overview

The Technical Strategy Initiatives Technical Lead is responsible for translating high-level enterprise and digital transformation strategies into robust, scalable technical architectures and executable roadmaps . Sitting at the intersection of technical strategy and tactical delivery, this role drives solution design, oversees the end-to-end technical execution of strategic priority projects, and monitors development teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and engineering excellence .

Primary Focus Areas

• Solution Design & Architecture: Architecting resilient, scalable technical solutions for strategic transformation initiatives .
• Technical Project Leadership: Driving execution discipline, milestone delivery, and technical risk mitigation across active workstreams .
• Team Guidance & Quality Assurance: Monitoring development progress, conducting technical reviews, and enforcing engineering standards and best practices .

Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties

1. Strategic Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead the end-to-end technical analysis and solution design for high-priority strategic initiatives within the Technical Strategy portfolio .
• Formulate system architecture blueprints, data models, integration specifications, and technical requirements aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines .
• Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and build-vs.-buy options to support strategic innovation objectives .

2. Technical Project Leadership & Delivery Execution

• Direct the technical execution and delivery milestones of assigned strategic projects, ensuring on-time and within-scope completion .
• Identify, track, and remediate technical dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and implementation risks across interrelated systems .
• Partner closely with project and delivery managers to translate technical milestones into operational sprint plans and release schedules .

3. Bridge Between Strategy & Execution

• Serve as the primary liaison between senior strategy leadership and hands-on engineering/delivery teams, translating high-level business vision into actionable technical tasks .
• Communicate technical concepts, solution trade-offs, and project status clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders .
• Ensure ongoing strategic alignment between business goals, digital transformation priorities, and day-to-day development activities .

4. Team Guidance, Technical Reviews & Mentorship

• Guide and mentor development teams, providing technical direction, architectural guidance, and day-to-day problem-solving support .
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, architecture design reviews, and technical artifact evaluations, providing actionable, constructive feedback .
• Monitor technical progress and output quality, enforcing adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, CI/CD patterns, and security/compliance policies .

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience) .
• Experience:6+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technical systems design, or solution architecture .2+ years of proven experience in a technical lead, team lead, or technical project leadership capacity .
• Technical Depth:Strong expertise in designing enterprise-grade software solutions, microservices, APIs, and modern cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) .Hands-on familiarity with modern SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum), automated testing, and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines .Proven experience conducting architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and establishing technical standards .
• Leadership & Collaboration:Demonstrated ability to bridge strategy and delivery, breaking down complex strategic goals into technical execution roadmaps .Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional peers and present technical decisions to leadership .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Experience in healthcare technology, digital transformation programs, or enterprise modernization initiatives .
• Familiarity with modern data architectures, integration frameworks, or AI/ML-assisted software development practices .
