We are looking for a Field Technician, to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team. The role mission is to provide specialized knowledge and capabilities to ensure successful hardware and firmware deployment in both on premises and on field locations.

Responsibilities:

• Use, update and create Technical Documentation, including As-build documents, Lists of equipment, ICDs, etc.
• Travel on site, including driving when required,
• Perform all activities related to hardware and software deployment, including configurations of the equipment, in ADS premises or on-site, in both Romania and abroad,
• Work in the ADS premises or on-site to assembly, mount, install and configure mechanical and electrical sub-components in mechanical chassis (factory approach),
• Collect on-site information and update the databases as required by the projects,
• Perform tests and verifications of the equipment and configurations, in accordance with projects requirements,
• Maintain and improve the good relationship with Customer / End User,
• Solving urgent hardware and firmware / software configurations in premises and on-site close to the customer / end user to ensure operational readiness and fulfil SLA’s.
• Works in close contact with company’s clients for urgent problem solving,
• Maintains equipment, working tools, instruments at the appropriate standards of functionality, informs superiors on any malfunctions of utilised equipment, working tools, instruments,
• Identifies, proposes and supports improvement initiatives, if required.
• Is responsible for the execution of allocated tasks and responsibilities within the appropriate timeline and at the required quality standards.
• Is compliant with the functional hierarchy, processes, procedures and working instructions needed to perform the allocated tasks and responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

• At least 5 of on field installation, commissioning, testing in IT&C and or telecommunication domains,
• Relevant experience with telecommunication technologies and firmware configurations,
• Networking hardware installation fundamentals and troubleshooting,
• Familiar with telecommunications sites (masts, shelters, technical rooms and data centers),
• Experience with Windows operating systems troubleshooting,
• Experience with Electrical and networking installation,
• Ability to work remotely and on-site with governmental institutions and end-users for Deployment and Troubleshooting matters,
• Ability to act independently,
• Experience to work on heights,
• Foreign language (minimum fluent in English),
• Clean B driving license,
• Police record clean.
