Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelle Engineering (MSEN) is seeking a goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work for the Engineering Support to Operations organization as an Integrated Product Team Leader, a role based in East Hartford, CT. In this role you'll be responsible for Support to Operations task execution on the Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelle Module hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.
  • Plan and manage budget for all hardware and tasks.
  • Prepare/present status and technical content to Engineering support to operations (ESTO) Leadership, Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) & upper Pratt & Whitney management.
  • Work closely with the team members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and   recommend product improvements.
  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.
  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 8+ years of Engineering experience, or an advanced Degree in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Degree must be from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited schools.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, with previous gas turbine compressor experience.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software.
  • The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
