Job Summary:

In this role you will lead the Vendor Assist Team as it relates to sourcing strategy, capacity assessment, quality improvement, and daily delivery performance for each supplier involved with vendor assist for Hot Section Module Center South turbine airfoil production.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple suppliers to insure quality, delivery and cost goals are achieved. 
  • Align with the Manufacturing Engineering/OpX management team on resources with projects that support supplier’s performance with respect to HSMC key business initiatives: MRL progression, and ultimately quality signature and SRR improvement.
  • Promote the use of data driven root cause and corrective action tool usage to support the module center's CORE goals
  • Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and financial commitments are achieved
  • Drive product cost reduction and ensure War on Cost targets are achieved through process & quality improvements with the suppliers.
  • 30% travel required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC)
  • Leadership experience with direct supervisory experience
  • Experience with project planning to influence business objectives

Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
