Amazon Health Services (AHS) Learning & Development is building the future of healthcare learning. We're seeking an innovative, driven Learning Experience Designer to join our team and create learning solutions that drive measurable business impact across our healthcare operations.

The ideal candidate is a smart, problem-solving professional with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities. They design and develop learning programs using creative approaches, including AI-assisted development, to inspire learners and drive productivity. This includes eLearning, just-in-time performance support, instructor-led course materials, and other learning programs.

This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly engaged environment. You connect the dots organizationally, network effectively, and influence various roles, levels, and profiles to drive collaboration. You leverage the latest technologies and methodologies to deliver impactful learning experiences.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with program managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop comprehensive learning strategies
- Conduct needs analysis, stakeholder interviews, and create detailed storyboards to map out engaging and effective learning experiences
- Design and develop course content across modalities including eLearning, instructor-led training (VILT), instructor-led training (ILT), and blended learning
- Create measurable learning objectives, scenarios, simulations, audio scripts, progress checks, performance evaluations, and knowledge assessments
- Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, personalization, and learner engagement
- Apply recognized instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick) to rapidly design, develop, and publish engaging content with continuous evaluation and improvement cycles
- Manage multiple curricula development projects simultaneously using robust project management practices
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using data-driven approaches and analytics
- Adapt instructional materials for different formats and delivery platforms, leveraging AI to streamline conversion processes
- Establish and maintain quality standards for all learning content produced
- Upload, test, and maintain content within the learning management system (Docebo or Amazon Learn)
- Coach and mentor less experienced staff on instructional design techniques, storyboarding, and development best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of instructional design process, templates, and tools and developing learning content

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 5+ years of learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience using business metrics and training data to track, trend, and manage the impact of training efforts
- Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in storyboarding, creating detailed learning blueprints, and eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia)
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) including content upload, settings, testing, and maintenance
- Demonstrated adult learning principles, ID models (ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick) and linking appropriate methods with learner outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industry learning environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools and their application in instructional design
- Experience with xAPI, SCORM, or other learning data standards
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or project management

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
