Security is "job zero" at Amazon, by which we mean it’s even more important than any number one priority. As a key strategic partner to senior Security leaders, the Amazon Security Finance team plays a vital role in building a robust security culture.

Join us as a Finance Manager and become an integral part of this dynamic team. This role goes beyond routine tasks. You'll be a valuable member who uncovers critical trends, refines forecasting accuracy, and generates actionable insights to empower strategic decision-making. You'll also be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex financial data into a compelling business narrative that drives informed security investments.


Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) team on business strategy, fostering growth and development
- Lead planning processes, providing financial expertise and driving impactful decisions
- Own third party (3P) software spending reporting across Amazon Security.
- Deliver regular weekly & monthly reporting that influences security investments and strategic direction
- Develop and maintain scalable financial models that empower informed planning, accurate controllership, and clear visibility into key business drivers.

- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support leaders in tackling business challenges and understanding the financial ramifications of decisions.

- Demonstrate the agility and resilience to excel in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, consistently delivering impactful results.


About the team
Amazon Security Finance is a relatively new finance team supporting the consolidated security functions across Amazon. We have a unique opportunity to see across all segments, build our own finance team and processes, and work with amazing business partners whose #1 priority is securing Amazon customers, partners, services, and employees.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
