The team and the opportunity

You will join the Hitachi Digital Global Information Security team, a group dedicated to safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of enterprise data, systems and information. Our mission is to keep corporate systems secure and help ensure that the products we deliver are free of security flaws and vulnerabilities.

We are looking for an IAM Specialist whose mission is simple: ensure the right people have access to the right resources at the right time, securely. You will join a team of IAM developers and engineers and report into the Identity and Access Management security leadership. Working across both Workforce and Consumer Identity platforms, you will help mature the end-to-end IAM program across Okta, Identity Governance and Auth0 environments.

What you'll be doing

This is a hands-on, technically versatile role focused on developing, configuring and maintaining IAM platforms across internal and external identity ecosystems. You will build automation, custom integrations and platform enhancements, with an automation-first mindset.

• Develop custom integrations and automation across Okta Workforce Identity Cloud, Okta Identity Governance and Auth0 using Node.js, JavaScript, Python and PowerShell.

• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations and CI/CD pipelines for IAM Infrastructure as Code.

• Create, review and maintain OAuth and OIDC integrations across Okta and Auth0.

• Complete SAML integrations with custom rules and attribute statements.

• Develop Okta Workflows for critical business processes, provisioning and registration flows.

• Develop custom rules and actions within Auth0 to interact with external platforms.

• Write custom Node.js functions and Express applications to extend IAM platform capabilities.

• Support Identity Governance processes, including access certifications, entitlement management and lifecycle automation.

• Build PowerShell and Python scripts to automate reporting, reconciliation and operational tasks.

• Manage application access policies and authorization server policies across environments.

• Develop integrations with critical platforms such as Workday, Active Directory, Azure and Salesforce.

• Support Org2Org federations with other companies in the Hitachi Group.

• Participate in code reviews for automation and tenant management.

What you bring to the team

• Strong understanding of OIDC/OAuth and SAML authentication mechanisms and protocols, plus related security concepts such as MFA, including how they are used with Okta, Auth0 and other IdPs and how to troubleshoot issues in this area.

• Strong experience integrating applications with both Okta and Auth0 for SSO, provisioning and governance.

• Hands-on development proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, Python and PowerShell, including production-grade automation and integrations.

• Comfort and skill with Terraform, CI/CD tooling and Infrastructure as Code best practices.

• Knowledge of Okta Identity Governance, including access certifications, entitlement management, RBAC and ABAC.

• Familiarity with Okta and Auth0 public APIs and development SDKs.

• Hands-on experience in large, enterprise-scale IAM environments, including workflows and scripting against public APIs.

• Knowledge of advanced Okta capabilities such as Okta Workflows, Okta Identity Governance and Okta Access Gateway. Okta certifications are a plus.

• Understanding of modern cybersecurity threats and how a successful IAM program helps an enterprise mitigate them.

• Excellent written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

• Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a dynamic, large-scale environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.

• High attention to detail and quality.
