The Opportunity

As a member of our Consulting team, you will work closely with financial services clients, including banks, non-banking financial institutions, payment institutions, and other regulated entities, supporting them in navigating an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

You will contribute to the design, implementation, and review of risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance programs, and governance structures, helping clients meet local and European regulatory requirements. Your work will cover a broad spectrum of risk and regulatory topics, including credit, operational, market and liquidity risk, CRR/CRD requirements, ICAAP and ILAAP frameworks, recovery and resolution planning, internal governance, ESG integration into risk management and licensing requirements for financial and non-financial institutions.

As a Senior Consultant, you will collaborate with risk specialists, regulatory experts, and senior client stakeholders to deliver practical and sustainable solutions that strengthen risk management capabilities and regulatory compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support financial institutions in the development, implementation, and enhancement of risk management frameworks covering credit, operational, market, and liquidity risk.
• Conduct regulatory gap analyses and provide recommendations for remediation and implementation - assess compliance with applicable prudential regulations, including CRR/CRD requirements and regulatory expectations issued by European and local supervisory authorities.
• Participate in ICAAP and ILAAP projects, including framework design, gap assessments, methodology reviews, and regulatory readiness exercises.
• Support clients in the development and maintenance of Recovery and Resolution Plans in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review and enhance Internal Governance frameworks, including risk governance, organizational structures, committees, policies, and control functions.
• Assist financial and non-financial institutions throughout licensing and authorization processes, including regulatory applications and interactions with supervisory authorities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and deliverables for senior management, boards, and regulatory stakeholders.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong understanding of banking and financial services regulations, risk management frameworks, and supervisory expectations.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Credit risk, Operational risk, Market risk, Liquidity risk, CRR / CRD framework, ICAAP / ILAAP, Recovery & Resolution Planning, Internal Governance; Financial Institution Licensing
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in English
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

• Experience working within a consulting firm, regulatory authority, bank, payment institution, or other regulated financial institution.
• Familiarity with EBA Guidelines, ECB expectations, and local prudential regulations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, regulatory reviews, or governance assessments.
• Project management experience and the ability to coordinate complex regulatory initiatives.
• Professional certifications in risk management (ACCA, FRM, CFA, CIA or similar) would be considered an advantage.
