EY, a global leader in assurance, tax transaction and advisory services, is looking for Associate in our Internal Finance Department in North Macedonia

Job Purpose

As an Accountant you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Finance and Accounting Department and the internal clients of the firm through precise, responsible and client-oriented mindset, active involvement in teamwork, and flexibility regarding workload.

Key responsibilities

• General Ledger accounting on stand-alone level; this includes booking of daily cash

movements, invoices, expense accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions and reconciliation of financial data.

•Prepare client billing invoices in system based on instructions received from engagement managers and following e-billing

•Record and post purchase invoices in system

•Monitor employee expense reimbursements and process related accounting entries based on supporting documentation.

•Prepare payment orders through the electronic banking platform and maintain bank documentation,

•Coordinate the physical submission and collection of documents with banks, tax authorities, and other governmental institutions.

•Compile supporting documentation, including invoice copies, payment confirmations, and financial schedules, for double taxation treaty relief applications related to foreign vendor payments.

•Provide ongoing operational and administrative support to the Finance Department.

• Ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all client related tasks.

• Performing statistical reporting

To qualify, candidates should have:

• University Degree in Accounting / Finance

• Computer skills (MS Office; Excel) - advanced level

• Excellent communication skills in English and Macedonian language.

• Willingness to learn

•Strong writing and verbal communication skills
