Certification Qualification Engineer Tiger Legacy (d/f/m)

Dann kommen Sie als Certification Qualification Engineer (CQE) zu uns ins Airworthiness Office von Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth. Sie werden Teil des Tiger Chief Airworthiness Engineer (CAE) Teams und übernehmen die Leitung von Zulassungsprojekten für neue Hubschraubervarianten oder Modifikationen bereits zugelassener Hubschrauberkonfigurationen, um aktiv für die Sicherheit unserer Produkte zu arbeiten. Als Mitglied des CAE Teams sind Sie Teil von vielen verschiedenen transversalen Projekten, welche die gesamte fliegende Flotte von Airbus Helicopters Tiger Varianten abdecken. Jedes Projekt umfasst verschiedenste technische Disziplinen und Akteure (Chief Engineering, Design, Konstruktion, interne und externe Spezialisten, Kundensupport, Fertigung, …). Als verantwortlicher CQE arbeiten Sie mit diesen zusammen und sind dafür verantwortlich, dass die notwendigen Nachweise zur Erfüllung der Zulassungsanforderungen im Rahmen der vorgegebenen Entwicklungs- und Liefermeilensteine erbracht werden.

Diese Stelle bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Harmonisierung und kontinuierlichen Verbesserung des Zulassungsprozesses einzunehmen, die Umsetzung der relevanten Prozesse innerhalb Airbus Helicopters und gegenüber den Zulassungs- und Qualifikationsbehörden zu unterstützen, Unterschriftsberechtigungen innerhalb des Design Sicherungssystems inkl. des gesamten Zulassungsprozesses zu erhalten sowie die Leitung eines transversalen Team für bestimmte Zulassungsprojekte zu übernehmen.

Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

• Bearbeitung/Leitung von Zulassungsprojekten inklusive aller damit verbundenen Projektmanagement-Aufgaben (Planung, Berichterstattung, Risikomanagement, …)
• Erstellung der Zulassungsbasis und Requirements Baseline für Modifikationen von bestehenden oder neuen Hubschraubervarianten
• Die Festlegung und Abstimmung der Zulassungsstrategie
• Die Erstellung von Nachweisprogrammen und deren Abstimmung mit den zuständigen Fachabteilungen, dem Chefingenieur und den verantwortlichen Behörden
• Koordination der zur Zulassung notwendigen Aktivitäten im Rahmen der Gesamtprojektplanung
• Nutzen des Airbus Helicopters Airworthiness Netzwerks um die Erreichung der Zulassungsziele sicherzustellen
• Prüfung und Validierung von Nachweisdokumenten hinsichtlich
  • Erfüllung der Lufttüchtigkeitsvorschriften bzw. Spezifikationen
  • Vollständigkeit und gegenseitige Verträglichkeit
• Harmonisierung der relevanten Nachweisdokumente mit den zuständigen Behörden
• Freigabe von Dokumenten im Rahmen der Privilegien des Entwicklungsbetriebes
• Ansprechpartner in Fragen der Zulassung
• Zuarbeit zur Harmonisierung von zukünftigen Zulassungsprojekten (z.B. im Rahmen von  Angeboten)
• Koordination / Unterstützung der Aktivitäten zum Erhalt von Flugfreigaben für Erprobungsträger und Prototypen

Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

• Sie haben ein abgeschlossenes Studium (mind. Master/Diplom) der Ingenieurswissenschaften vorzugsweise in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik oder Maschinenbau
• Mehrere Jahre Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Hubschraubern bzw. Hubschraubersystemen
• Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in der Zulassung von Luftfahrzeugen und/oder Systemen
• Mehrere Jahre Erfahrungen im Projektmanagement insbesondere von transnationalen Projekten wäre wünschenswert
• Sie sind ein Teamplayer und haben vorzugsweise bereits Erfahrung mit der Arbeit in internationalen Teams an verschiedenen Standorten
• Sie sind proaktiv, haben gute Analyse- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sowie ein hohes Durchsetzungsvermögen
• Sie haben eine problemlösende Einstellung und den Wunsch nach ständiger Verbesserung, selbst unter Druck und in einem komplexen, stark regulierten Umfeld
• Sie können komplizierte Sachverhalte einfach kommunizieren und komplexe Sachverhalte analysieren um einen sinnvollen, nächsten Schritt zu finden

In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new

Certification Qualification Engineer Tiger Legacy (d/f/m)

We offer you a challenging transverse position in a multi-national team with great responsibilities, including the possibility to negotiate with Aviation Authorities world-wide. The job will provide you with great insights into our products, systems and organization.

You have experience in certification or development and are open-minded with good communication skills, then join the Airworthiness Office of Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth as Certification Qualification Engineer (CQE). You will become part of the Tiger Chief Airworthiness Engineer’s (CAE) Team and support the safety of our products. You will manage Certification, Qualification and initial Airworthiness activities for your program; this includes new helicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter type certificates and flight clearances. As a member of the CAE Team you are part of many concurrent and transversal projects covering the complete range of Tiger current fleet variants. You act as focal point for the Airworthiness Authorities with whom the certification basis, certification strategy, means of compliance and authority involvement is negotiated. You are responsible to ensure demonstration of compliance to the applicable airworthiness requirements, to ensure the in-service safety of the helicopters and for leading the Certification and Qualification activities necessary to meet the development and delivery milestones of the Tiger program.

In addition, the position offers the opportunity to be a key player for the harmonization and continuous improvement of the certification processes, to promote our Roles & Responsibilities and associated processes within Airbus Helicopter and in front of our Authorities, to become authorized signatory and responsible within the design assurance system including the whole process of certification and qualification and to manage a transversal team for a given certification/qualification project.

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Support in / leading of the certification and qualification activities, including all associated project management tasks (planning, reporting, risk management…)
• Establish the certification requirement baselines and type design definitions for future evolutions of the helicopter and coordinate their harmonization
• Develop and harmonize (internally / externally) the certification & qualification programs, including the identification of the Means of Compliance and associated demonstrations of compliance.
• Coordinate the creation and delivery of those compliance demonstrations in accordance with the general milestones provided by the Chief Engineering team
• Manage the Airbus Helicopters Airworthiness network to ensure certification objectives are met
• Validate those demonstrations of compliance and harmonize them with Authorities
• Produce the certification / qualification synthesis documents and harmonize them with authorities.
• Release airworthiness documentation to the Aviation Authorities or perform approvals in accordance with Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA)
• Influence and contribute to the harmonization of the future qualification (e.g. in the frame of offers, ..)
• Obtain or contribute to the approval of flight clearance for serial and prototype flights

Desired skills and qualifications

• A university degree (min. Master/Diploma) in aeronautical or mechanical engineering
• Several years experience in the certification and qualification of aircrafts/helicopters and/or aircraft /helicopter systems
• Several years experience in the development of aircrafts/helicopters or aircraft/helicopter systems
• Experience in project management especially of transnational projects would be appreciated
• Several years experience of working in international projects and collaboration in  transnational teams would be a plus
• You are open, pro-active and have the ability to assert yourself
• You are able to communicate complicated topics to others and analyze complex situations to find the right next step
• You are driven by the wish for continuous improvement and have a problem solving attitude
• You are good at organizing and coordinating as well as motivating and inspiring others
• You show a certain service mindedness towards the needs of our internal and external customers
• Lanugage Skills: English business fluent, German fluent and French could be a plus
