Connected Aviation Solutions is currently recruiting for a Principal Pricing Analyst. This role is an external/internal customer facing position that is responsible for pricing commercial and government proposals.  This individual has an extensive amount of exposure to the overall business and is a key contributor on target capture teams. They will work closely with senior leadership and various functional teams (engineering, procurement, tax, export, business development, program management) and is expected to help develop strategic business cases and pricing to capture new business for Connected Aviation Solutions. 

Primary Responsibilities·      

  • Performs price and cost estimating activities for complex customer RFPs, RFQs and new Business opportunities.

  • Works with the proposal team to analyze the merits of each new pursuit and prepares complex financial summaries that help management understand the merits of the new business deal.

  • Supports proposal team in customer negotiations, orals and BAFOs.

  • Ensure that overhead and FX rates are accurately reflected in the proposal.

  • Participate in the development and presentation of review materials to senior leadership.

  • Identifies and may spearheads opportunities to improve tools and processes utilized by the pricing team.

  • Develops and implements pricing strategies as required by each new proposal.

  • Conducts Financial modeling (MIRR, IRR, NPV, etc.)

  • Provides a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation.

  • Provides internal and external customers with quality experiences and building and maintaining effective relationships.

  • Ensures that the team can look to you for accuracy and thoroughness in all proposals before it reaches the higher levels of review.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Strong Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Modeling Experience

  • Knowledge of government contracting requirements

  • Understands overhead and FX rates

  • Develops pricing strategies as required by each new proposal

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
