This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June- December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024. May be eligible for relocation.

Collins Aerospace is currently seeking student engineers for our Military Landing Gear organization located in Fort Worth, TX. Teams are comprised of cross-functional engineers working in an agile environment focused on the design and development of landing gear products. Gain experience supporting our portfolio of military aircraft includes F-35, T-7A, C-17 and more, fielded on thousands of aircraft today, at this moment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidates researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems in areas including, but not limited to, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, an/or actuation for Military Landing Gear. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

  • May evaluate and analyze various mechanical products to determine their cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

  • May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
