What You'll Build
You'll design and deliver systems at the intersection of AI/ML and FinTech, working on problems that directly impact profitability at Amazon scale. You'll leverage Amazon's advanced agentic AI infrastructure to build autonomous systems that process real financial data in production.
You'll contribute to products that span:
- Multi-agent AI architectures with orchestrators, specialized agents, and shared knowledge bases
- Distributed systems processing millions of financial transactions and communications annually
- Financial products where accuracy, auditability, and compliance are non-negotiable
- Full-stack solutions from data pipelines to user interfaces
- Evaluation and testing frameworks for AI agents at production scale
The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a passion for building reliable, scalable AI systems. We look for engineers who are great communicators, self-motivated, and excited about pushing the boundaries of what autonomous AI can do in production.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and build complex systems that solve ambiguous business problems, decomposing them into components that teams can build in parallel
- Contribute to technical decision-making for your team, taking ownership of system architecture and providing system-wide design guidance
- Build AI systems with precision constraints, designing workflows, thresholds, and success metrics optimized for domains where errors are expensive
- Mentor and influence engineers across your team and organization, raising the bar for engineering excellence
- Drive innovation in autonomous AI systems and evaluation frameworks
- Own operational excellence for production systems, proactively identifying and fixing risks
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, product, and engineering teams to deliver customer-obsessed solutions

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
