Amazon is looking for a Senior Manager, Operations to lead a fulfillment center function, where you will own the strategy and execution that keeps our network running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will manage large teams, solve complex operational challenges, and shape the associate experience across your site. Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of front-line managers and associates, providing continuous coaching, actionable feedback, and growth opportunities that raise the performance bar across your function.
- Drive operational excellence by analyzing key performance indicators, identifying trends across data sources, and translating insights into strategic actions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Build scalable processes and mechanisms within your function, ensuring consistency and reliability while accounting for cross-functional impacts and network-level considerations.
- Champion a culture of safety by modeling safe behaviors, incorporating safety considerations into all operational planning, and regularly reviewing safety metrics to drive measurable improvements.
- Collaborate across site functions to align on priorities, resolve interdepartmental challenges, and implement new initiatives that improve associate experience and operational outcomes.

A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing safety and performance metrics, then connect with your leadership team during an operational stand-up to align on priorities. Throughout your shift, you will walk the floor to observe processes, coach managers in real time, and address emerging issues. You will partner with peers across functions to remove bottlenecks, participate in strategic planning sessions, and review progress on improvement initiatives. Expect to balance time between hands-on problem solving and longer-range planning that shapes how your team operates during peak and steady-state periods.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree or above in relevant field of operations
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
- Experience in the areas of management and leadership development, organization development, learning and development, group facilitation, training and training design, or equivalent business experience
- - Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation
- - Track record of effectively leading an operation comprising both salaried and hourly staff of at least 100
- - Demonstrated ability to successfully develop others into higher levels of leadership in an organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
