Are you passionate about transforming healthcare education through AI and innovative learning technologies?
About our Team:
Elsevier Health applies innovation, facilitates insights, and helps drive more informed decision-making for our customers across global health. We support health providers by providing accessible, trusted evidence-based information; prepare more medical and nursing students with effective tools and resources; provide insights that help clinicians improve patient outcomes; and support a more personalized and localized healthcare experience. All for the benefit of every patient.
About the role:
The health education market is being redefined as AI continues to change how students learn. And at Elsevier, we are shaping how to advance student outcomes with our technology and AI-driven solutions.
Elsevier Health has one of the strongest education portfolios in the world: Sherpath AI, Osmosis, ShadowHealth, HESI, ClinicalKey Student and more. This VP will own how we position and go to market globally across nursing, medical, and allied health education — ensuring that our products win at the point of institutional adoption and remain the preferred learning platform as students’ progress through their careers.
This role is an opportunity for a product marketer who understands both the institutional buyer (Deans of Nursing/Medicine, faculty, program directors) and the individual learner (medical students and nursing students) and can build a go-to-market motion that serves both. The role reports into the Chief Marketing Officer, Elsevier Health. The role sits on the Global Health Marketing Leadership team & on the Elsevier Healthcare Education Leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the full Elsevier Health Education portfolio — both existing products and new launches.
- Build deep market intelligence on the health education landscape & competitive positioning.
- Define distinct value propositions for institutional buyers (universities, nursing programs, health systems) and individual learners.
- Lead a team of product marketers aligned to key product lines; establish launch processes and field enablement standards.
- Partner with Education BU leadership on roadmap input, launch readiness, and commercial strategy — bringing the buyer's voice into product decisions.
- Build the sales enablement toolkit: collateral, case studies, competitive battle cards. Partner closely with Customer Success.
- Define and report on the portfolio's marketing-influenced metrics: adoption, renewal, expansion, and student engagement.
- Develop a narrative for Elsevier Health Education that is compelling to institutions, faculty, and students simultaneously.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of product marketing experience; 3+ years in a senior leadership role with direct reports.
- Strong background in healthcare education, edtech, or professional learning — you understand how academic institutions buy and how learners engage.
- Proven ability to build differentiated positioning in competitive, content-rich categories.
- Experience working across both institutional B2B and individual B2C marketing motions.
- Strong cross-functional operating instincts — comfortable partnering with Product, Sales, and Business Unit leadership.
- Exceptional written storytelling; able to craft a narrative that resonates with deans and a second-year nursing or medical student simultaneously.
- Track record of launching products in education technology or professional development markets.
- Prior experience at an edtech or health education company.
- Deep understanding of the nursing & medical education pipeline and how institutions select learning platforms.
- Familiarity with how AI-powered learning tools — spaced repetition, adaptive testing, clinical simulation — are reshaping student expectations.
- Experience with US and international markets.
