TITLE: Airline Marketing Cabin Lead
EMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc.
LOCATION: Herndon, VA
DUTIES: Defining argumentations within sales campaigns that support the payload accommodation advantages of Airbus products over the competition and identifying ways to position Airbus aircraft on cabin matters within airline evaluation rules. Providing technical support and demonstrating adaptability of Airbus design to address customer requirements. Designing proposals including seating, galleys, trolleys, lavatories, in-flight entertainment, overhead bin
storage and any other aspects of cabin design that impact payload. Building strong and independent relationships with customer counterparts. Presenting to and interacting with customer audiences up to the highest levels of management. Contributing and supporting regional Marketing and Sales stakeholders regarding campaign strategy and direction. Translating requirements from regulatory authorities, including FAA and EASA, on cabin safety and passenger accessibility into aircraft cabin layout designs, serving as the official Airbus representative on the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) Advisory Committee to help
shape the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and universal design standards.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Aviation Management, or related field and 2 years in any job title involving experience in capturing airline customers’ needs and translating them into aircraft cabin design solutions. Prior experience must also include: Developing and
optimizing cabin layouts for customers depending on the specific needs and business models; Maximizing cabin space, maintaining comfort, reducing operating costs, increasing passenger revenue, and fulfilling all airworthiness requirements; Working experience in aircraft cabin definition, design, manufacturing and delivery processes, lead times and associated milestones; Working experience in aircraft cabin new developments, R&D projects and future trends including upcoming mandates; Experience in aircraft cabin architecture, cabin systems and cabin trim and finish solutions; Delivering presentations to
the highest management level of airline customers; Establishing long-term relationships with customers and having experience of being the trusted airline advisor for cabin-related questions; Experience in generating and manipulating complex data studies focusing on in- service and future aircraft cabin configurations utilizing available and diverse market data; and Experience in translating passenger accessibility, safety and security requirements from regulatory authorities including FAA, EASA, or U.S. Department of Transportation into aircraft cabin layout designs. Up to 60% domestic and international travel required for business meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal Airbus meetings with support functions. Up to 40% telework permitted.
