The Advanced Effectors & Space organization within the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) to support a portfolio of development programs within the AET & IKCA Finance team. The programs are part of the Enabling Technologies strategic portfolio.
The position will support program cost controls, financial reporting, forecasting, program analysis, contract deliverables, funding activities, and management reporting. The position will use SAP APEX, PRISM, and other program controls and earned value management systems to support financial and program reporting activities.
This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is available.
What You Will Do
- Execute monthly and quarterly contract deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Manage Inter-Organizational Transfers (IOTs) with partner business units, including verification of funding levels and scope.
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts for the assigned portfolio using Rplan.
- Analyze program financial data to support cost collection, forecasting, reporting, and financial management activities.
- Work with Program Leadership and Finance to review financial information and support compliant cost collection.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for program and Finance management.
- Review financial data to identify variances between planned and actual costs.
- Support program financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Prepare management briefings using financial and program data.
- Use SAP APEX, PRISM, and other program controls and earned value management tools to support reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate with Finance, Program Management, and functional organizations to obtain and validate financial information.
- Support resolution of funding, forecasting, reporting, and cost collection issues.
- Maintain financial information and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable processes and requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing large financial data sets.
- Experience organizing and preparing financial or business briefings for management and/or peers.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for financial analysis, reporting, documentation, and presentations.
- Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, or program financial management.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, Day 1 with the ability to obtain program access after start.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience communicating financial and program information to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Experience working in a matrixed organizational environment.
- Experience collaborating with Finance, Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, and other functional organizations.
- Experience supporting financial process or system changes.
- Experience with SAP and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
- Experience with SAP APEX and/or PRISM.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program cost controls.
- Experience with program financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Experience preparing executive-level financial or program briefings.
- Experience managing Inter-Organizational Transfers (IOTs), funding activities, or similar financial transactions.
- Experience using Rplan for financial forecasting or planning.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
