Job Description
The Customer Fulfillment (CF) Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) Outbound team is looking for a committed Process & Systems Engineer (PSE) with a strong record of achieving results to own and drive continuous improvement, process standardization, and operational excellence across Outbound operations. This role will partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost within the Outbound network.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end process improvement initiatives across Outbound functions, leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodology and data-driven analysis.
- Establish and maintain benchmarking standards, setting network-level rates and driving process sustainability and standardization across multiple sites.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Technology teams to identify network-level opportunities, eliminate process variation, and deploy scalable solutions.
- Drive stakeholder development by building continuous improvement culture, developing SMEs, and coaching site leadership on CI tools and methodologies.
- Lead cross-functional projects end-to-end, including scoping, chartering, executing, and sustaining improvements with measurable business impact.
- Analyze operational data to identify root causes of performance gaps, develop actionable insights, and implement corrective actions.
- Support technology deployment and automation initiatives to improve Outbound efficiency and reduce defects.
- Create and maintain standard work documentation, SOPs, and best practices for Outbound processes.
- Influence senior leadership through data-driven recommendations and strategic program updates (WBR, MBR, QBR).
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques, or experience in similar environments
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing strategic initiatives
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
- Experience with data and analysis tools including Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Master's degree in Engineering, MBA, or related field.
- Experience in Amazon Fulfillment Center operations or similar high-volume distribution environments.
- Experience managing programs across multiple sites or network-level scope.
- Knowledge of labor planning, capacity modeling, and workforce management.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
