Senior Facilities Manager - JLL
What this job involves: As a Senior Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll lead the strategic oversight and operational excellence of facilities management programs for our clients' portfolios. This role puts you at the center of building performance, where you'll orchestrate maintenance operations, vendor relationships, capital project execution, and sustainability initiatives that directly impact how people experience their workspaces. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, translating business objectives into actionable facilities strategies while managing budgets, compliance requirements, and multi-site operations. You'll lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and leverage data analytics to optimize building performance. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving, as you'll balance long-term planning with the ability to respond decisively to operational challenges.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Develop and execute comprehensive facilities management strategies aligned with client business objectives and organizational goals
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs across multiple properties, ensuring optimal building performance and minimal operational disruption
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, conducting performance evaluations and negotiations to maximize value and service quality
Lead capital improvement projects from conception through completion, including scope development, budgeting, contractor selection, and quality assurance
Monitor and analyze facilities budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service excellence and compliance standards
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess building conditions, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including property management, engineering, sustainability, and client stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations including health and safety, environmental, and building codes
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership and clients, providing insights on facilities performance, project status, and strategic recommendations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related experience
6+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 2+ years in leadership capacity
Proven track record managing large-scale facilities operations and multi-million dollar budgets
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and building automation systems
Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and service level agreement oversight
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
Proficiency in CMMS/work order systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or PMP (Project Management Professional)
Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs and utilizing condition-based maintenance strategies
Background in change management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
