Job Description

The CreativeX RAPID (Real-time Ad Personalization & Insights Development) team is seeking passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) to join us. CreativeX is on a mission to enable brands of all sizes and categories to create, serve, measure, and optimize creative content with ease. Our team is responsible for tailoring the visual experience of ads to each context in real-time, leveraging nouvelle technologies such as latent diffusion models, large language models (LLM), reinforced learning (RL), computer vision, and related methods.

Our mission is to provide engaging, dynamically optimized creatives with low latencies both on and off Amazon for self-service brand advertisers. We automate the customization of product creatives with real-time catalog data while providing advertisers with the flexibility to customize their creatives according to their preferences.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans and delivery commitments; Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team.
- Own operations of the service as a mission-critical system.
- Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Be a hands-on technical leader and contributor.
- Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.


A day in the life
The product and engineering team partners with other Ads engineering teams to work on initiatives which has big impact on entire Amazon Advertisement. The team has responsibility from defining the intake Order Management Process including workflow for building in-house and 3rd party creatives, providing the CRM capability to Sales and Account management, working with Demand Side Platform (DSP) and Ad server for execution, providing the data for financial report and billing systems, integrating the AD moderation capability at different phases of Ads and detecting the post execution Ad issues.

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- 1+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++ experience
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture experience
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
- 5+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
