Job Description

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

The Amazon Leo ANZ team is seeking a Senior Account Manager to own and grow our retail channel partnerships and drive commercial outcomes across Australia and New Zealand. This role blends strategic account management with hands-on execution – from negotiating trading terms with major retail and distribution partners, to establishing a rhythm of business for annual planning and executive engagement.

You will be a self-starter who can listen, form insight, drive strategic vision and execute across organisational boundaries. For your assigned account portfolio, you will own annual channel planning, sales and marketing strategies, sales results, forecasts, inventory allocations, promotional activities and deployment strategies. You will influence stakeholders and business partners at all levels to improve channel effectiveness and deliver exceptional customer and partner experiences. You will have a passion for innovation in connectivity and consumer technology, a willingness to constantly challenge the status quo, and the capability to build strong, trusted partnerships with Australia and New Zealand’s leading channel partners.

You will work closely with GTM, Operations, Growth, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics teams. You will be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, experienced in leveraging data to analyse sales channel efficiency.

This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.

Key job responsibilities
• Own key account relationships across the ANZ region, from buying teams and marketing through to executive management, for retail and distribution partners
• Lead contract negotiations and implement trading terms with retail partners
• Develop and execute annual joint business plans encompassing sales strategies, marketing programs, inventory allocations, promotional activities, and deployment strategies
• Manage the account portfolio with ownership of sales results, forecasts, and revenue targets
• Build deep relationships with channel partners’ leadership to develop long-term strategies while executing short-term program activations
• Lead internal and external business reviews covering operational performance, strategic initiatives, and alignment on new opportunities
• Establish and scale sales operations processes

Basic Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in account management, channel sales, or business development within consumer electronics, telecommunications, or technology
- Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts and trading terms with major retail partners
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and growing account P&Ls
- Strong analytical capability – comfortable with sell-through data, forecasting, and inventory analysis, and using data to inform strategic decisions
- Strong financial acumen including P&L management, margin analysis, and forecast accuracy
- C-suite communication skills, both written and oral/presentation
- Proficiency with Excel, BI, and AI tools

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in satellite communications, broadband/ISP, or connectivity sectors
- Existing relationships with major ANZ retailers, distributors, or telco providers
