Job Description:
Position Purpose
The Digital Ecosystem Specialist monitors China’s fast-moving digital landscape—covering Data Ecosystems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Computing Power Infrastructure—and translates those external insights into tangible internal enterprise value. In addition to providing strategic intelligence, this role leads the project management and lifecycle of Airbus China’s data catalog and directly drives data valorization initiatives, identifying, structuring, and monetizing/reusing high-value datasets across business units.
Key Responsibilities
Data Valorization & Value Creation from Datasets:
Design and implement data valorization frameworks to identify, assess, and unlock the commercial and operational value of Airbus China's data assets.
Establish methodologies for building high-quality, reusable industry and internal datasets that support local AI applications, analytics, and automation.
Partner with business functions to turn raw internal data into structured data products, driving efficiency, revenue potential, or regulatory alignment.
Data Catalog Project Management & Coordination:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle—including scoping, creation, deployment, technical development, and ongoing maintenance—of Airbus China’s enterprise data catalog.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (data engineering, compliance, business units, and global functions) to define metadata standards and ensure seamless catalog integration across local environments.
Drive organizational adoption and governance to ensure data assets are easily discoverable and compliant with Chinese data security regulations.
Ecosystem Intelligence & Monitoring:
Track and analyze developments in Chinese data regulations (e.g., cross-border transfers, important data catalogs), industrial data spaces, AI initiatives, and computing power infrastructure.
Synthesize regulatory updates, industry policy documents, and market dynamics into actionable business recommendations.
Reporting & Awareness:
Executive Briefings: Deliver concise, strategic intelligence reports and risk/opportunity analyses directly to the CIO and to the executive leadership in China and Europe.
Employee Awareness: Author engaging monthly briefings and educational content to build digital literacy, data culture, and regulatory awareness across all employees.
Qualifications & Competencies
Experience: 3-5 years of experience blending data governance/valorization, IT project management, and tech market intelligence or digital policy research in China.
Technical & Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of data valorization strategies, data cataloging tools, metadata management, dataset engineering, and China’s regulatory landscape (data security, industrial data spaces, AI frameworks).
Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical, commercial, and regulatory concepts into clear executive summaries and actionable projects.
Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) for executive reporting, local policy analysis, and technical coordination.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
