Job Description

Amazon is building new fulfillment networks and you will be the finance leader making sure they pencil out, get funded, and launch on time. This role owns site-level financial modeling, capital funding, and execution handoffs for multi-year network build-outs spanning multiple fulfillment organizations. If you want to shape where and how Amazon invests in its next generation of fulfillment infrastructure, this is the seat. Our business is rapidly expanding and increasing in scope, providing for a rich career growth environment. A successful Finance Manager will showcase a high degree of ownership and will be able to independently partner cross-functionally to deliver results. The manager must be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, judgement and ability to influence business partners.

Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain site-level financial models for new fulfillment network launches, including pro-forma P&L, payback analysis, and sensitivity scenarios
- Own the CAR funding process for new sites: prepare financial packages, drive partner alignment, and shepherd requests through approval workflows
- Conduct tradeoff analysis on site locations, building configurations, and co-location opportunities across fulfillment networks
- Track capital spend against approved budgets during construction and ramp, reporting actuals and variance to plan
- Manage financial handoffs from business case approval through site launch to the operational finance teams providing ongoing FP&A support
- Coordinate with network finance, CAPEX, GES, and Real Estate teams on site investment alignment, due diligence scoping, and pre-construction financial inputs
- Support the network-level business case by providing site-specific data, validating assumptions, and escalating risks that affect program-level paybacks
- Contribute to OP and guidance cycle deliverables (WBR, MEC) as they relate to new network launches and capital deployment

About the team
This role sits within a team that supports operations finance and new network program launches. The team is responsible for financial reporting, planning, and business partnering on operations cost for Amazon Business, while also owning the business case and funding support for new network programs that span multiple fulfillment organizations. It is a high-visibility position that touches Real Estate, Design Engineering, central finance, and operational leadership across the fulfillment portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
