Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of cooling systems innovation? Hitachi Energy Cooling Systems is in an exciting growth phase, and we are now looking for a driven individual to strengthen our System Engineering team, which currently consists of 11 colleagues.

As a System Engineer, you will work in projects and collaborate closely with other engineering teams responsible for the mechanical design of pump stations, external piping systems, and electrical design.

How you'll make an impact 

  • Take responsibility for the mechanical functions of the system during system design, including pipe sizing, preparation of flow diagrams, and selection of components such as pumps, motors, coolers, and instruments.
  • Prepare purchasing specifications for major components and handle technical matters with our suppliers.
  • Perform sizing and design calculations for vessels and other in-house designed components.
  • Support the sales team with technical questions during the quotation stage.
  • Collaborate with customers, colleagues, and other departments, which will be an essential part of your work.
     

Your background

  • Experience working with system engineering, fluid dynamics, piping design, or structural calculations and a post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in different types of projects, preferably within an industrial environment.
  • Several years of experience in similar roles.
  • Knowledge of industrial cooling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, biogas, marine applications, oil and gas, or nuclear power is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and deliver the right results on time.
  • Curiosity and ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application are highly valued.
  • You are fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
