Join Hitachi Energy in shaping the future of learning and growth! We’re looking for a dynamic Factory Training & Development Specialist to lead impactful programs at our Transformers Factory in Vaasa.

The Transformers Business Unit is a core part of Hitachi Energy, enabling reliable power transmission and distribution worldwide. Over the years, the Vaasa factory has become one of Finland’s largest and most important transformer manufacturing plant, contributing significantly to national energy security. Today, the factory develops and manufactures transformers that ensure electricity flows to millions of homes worldwide. How you’ll make an impact
 

  • Drive factory training activities according to the agreed training roadmap, production needs and HUB guidance.
  • Lead the practical implementation of Structured-On-The-Job training for direct workforce, including schedules, participants, trainers and documentation.
  • Maintain course assignments, training records, certifications and completion data in the appointed Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Prepare regular training status reports, dashboards or data extracts to support follow-up and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with trainers and SMEs to prepare, update and validate training materials and work instruction related content.
  • Follow up overdue, mandatory or certification-related trainings and escalate gaps when needed.
  • Collect feedback from participants, trainers and stakeholders and drive agreed improvement actions.
  • Communicate training schedules, requirements and practical instructions to relevant employees and managers.
  • Provide accurate training records and evidence for audits, compliance checks and training documentation requests.
  • Contribute to and drive continuous improvement of training processes, tools and ways of working within the factory.
     

Your background
 

  • A B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, HR, Education, Business Administration or another relevant field
  • Relevant experience in training coordination, production training, technical instruction, LMS administration or manufacturing support roles.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing environment, shopfloor operations and competence development needs for direct workforce.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, training data maintenance and reporting tools such as Excel and PowerBI is an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple training activities, follow up details and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder service mindset.
  • Structured, proactive and quality-oriented way of working with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with transformer manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Fluency in both Finnish and English, written and spoken.
