Can you help shape the future of safety culture at a global scale?

At Maersk, safety is more than a priority. It is a core value that guides how we work, lead, learn, and grow. As we continue our transformation into a global integrated logistics company, we are looking for a Safety Culture & Leadership Specialist to help drive the evolution of our Safety & Resilience (S&R) agenda across the enterprise.

This is a unique opportunity to influence leadership behaviors, embed cutting-edge safety principles, and help create an environment where psychological safety, operational learning, and human performance are at the center of how we operate.

You will partner with senior leaders, HR, transformation teams, and safety professionals across our global business to strengthen safety culture, accelerate organizational learning, and enable sustainable performance improvement.

What We Offer

At Maersk, you will join a purpose-driven organization with a strong commitment to safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Influence safety culture and leadership practices across a global organization.
  • Work with industry-leading concepts including Safety Differently, Safety II, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), Positive Psychology, and human-centered design principles.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across business units, regions, and corporate functions.
  • Shape flagship global initiatives that impact thousands of employees worldwide.
  • Be part of a transformation journey focused on learning, resilience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As Safety Culture & Leadership Specialist, you will:

  • Drive the integration of Safety & Resilience principles into leadership practices, business systems, and organizational culture.
  • Design and deliver global safety culture and leadership initiatives that support long-term behavioral and cultural change.
  • Lead the development and execution of flagship engagement programs such as Global Safety Day and other strategic culture campaigns.
  • Enable leaders and frontline teams to strengthen psychological safety, learning, collaboration, and distributed leadership.
  • Embed Learning Teams and GEMBA methodologies to enhance operational learning and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to integrate safety leadership principles into onboarding, capability-building programs, and leadership development frameworks.
  • Conduct culture assessments, diagnostics, and research activities to identify opportunities for improvement and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Develop measurement frameworks and leverage data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness and business impact of safety culture initiatives.
  • Apply human-centered design and behavioral science approaches to create engaging, user-focused solutions that drive adoption and behavioral change.
  • Provide expert guidance on Safety Differently, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), and modern safety leadership practices across the organization.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a collaborative, strategic, and influential professional with a passion for culture transformation, organizational learning, and leadership development.

You will ideally bring:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Leadership, Organizational Development, Human Factors, Behavioral Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in safety culture, leadership development, organizational transformation, or behavioral change initiatives.
  • Knowledge and practical application of Safety Differently, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), and modern safety theories.
  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, culture assessments, and diagnostics.
  • Expertise in human-centered design, UX methodologies, usability testing, and user research techniques.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups in complex global environments.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into practical business actions.
