Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering, this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team at our Halifax – Plant 41 (Enfield) location. Working 40 hours per week in an on-site role with flexibility, you will contribute to meaningful manufacturing initiatives while building strong relationships across the organization.

What will your day-to-day look like?
Support the implementation of advanced manufacturing lines
Provide the necessary expertise for developing and providing support for tools and modern manufacturing processes
Plans, prepares and develops computerized manufacturing instructions (MOS). This involves preparing and editing partial illustrations of engine parts in CATIA V5.
Interprets complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Determines manufacturing and inspection processes, and the list of tools required
Provides the assistance required to solve issues with ongoing processes
Works to establish standards with an emphasis on mistake proofing and providing clear instructions
Works with the other non-destructive testing (NDT) procedure departments to ensure that the instructions adequately cover the requirements of the drawings and specifications of the engineering department
Ensures a clear understanding of the demands of the various stakeholders and responds to requests in a timely manner as agreed.
Take a leadership role in all Planning related support functions (production, experimental, CORE, etc)
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
Proven ability to lead a project in its’ entirety
Demonstrated initiative with a commitment to achieving area and plant objectives
What do you need to be successful?
Engineering diploma (Mechanical Engineering discipline preferred), Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Journeyman Machinist, or equivalent.
Preference given to candidates with 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Preference given to applicants with a minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Process Engineering (planning) experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel and Microsoft Project), AutoCAD, CMM, CNC, CATIA, and SAP.
