About the division and the desk

The Wealth Management Lending team supports clients across the relevant geographic markets in Geneva and Zurich throughout the lending lifecycle. Working alongside Lending Officers, the team assesses client needs, performs credit analysis, structures transactions, prepares and follows up on credit documentation and approvals, and monitors the loan book. During this six-month internship, you will gain practical exposure to these activities while assisting with the origination and execution of new transactions and supporting the maintenance of the credit quality of the existing portfolio under the supervision of the Lending Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate transaction and portfolio data in Globe R and support system improvements.
• Monitor credit conditions, covenants and follow-up actions.
• Support annual credit reviews and the administration of guarantees.
• Assist with client-needs assessment and preliminary transaction feasibility.
• Support transaction analysis, structuring and credit approval materials.
• Contribute to day-to-day lending activities and other assigned tasks.

Must-have skills and competencies:

• Strong interest in lending, credit analysis and financial markets.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and strong numerical skills.
• Ability to analyse information and communicate conclusions clearly in English.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Organised, accurate and able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, reliable and collaborative, with appropriate handling of confidential information.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Nice-to-have skills and competencies:

• Studies in finance, banking, economics, accounting or a related field.
• Previous exposure to banking, lending, credit analysis or financial services.
• Familiarity with financial modelling, credit metrics or lending products.
• French, German or another relevant language.
• International experience and interest in process improvement and data quality.
