Humana, a Fortune 100 healthcare leader, is seeking an accomplished Associate Vice President, Consumer Strategy to lead the development and execution of Humana's end-to-end growth and consumer strategy for Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs), which serve individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, and Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs), which serve members with qualifying chronic health conditions.This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping strategy across the full member lifecycle for D-SNP and C-SNP populations, including acquisition, product and benefit design, engagement, retention, customer experience, quality outcomes, and overall business performance.
As AVP, you will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams including Product, Actuarial, Marketing, Sales, Member Experience, Digital, Clinical, STARS, and Customer Service to identify growth opportunities, develop innovative consumer-centric solutions, and execute strategies that improve member outcomes and drive sustainable growth. This is a high-visibility position with significant influence on Humana's long-term growth and strategic direction.
Consumer Strategy Team
The Consumer Strategy team drives Humana's mission by identifying new avenues of growth and advancing strategies that increase membership, retention, consumer experience, and health outcomes. This entrepreneurial team operates within Humana's Enterprise Growth organization and partners across the enterprise to develop and execute strategies that deliver meaningful value for members and the business
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategy for D-SNP and C-SNP products, driving membership growth, member engagement, health outcomes, and business performance.
- Own the end-to-end consumer strategy across the member lifecycle, including acquisition, product and benefit design, enrollment, engagement, retention, customer experience, and service delivery.
- Partner with Product and Actuarial teams to develop innovative product, benefit, and experience strategies that balance member needs, market competitiveness, and financial performance.
- Develop and implement consumer-centric strategies leveraging data, analytics, consumer insights, and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Partner with Clinical and STARS teams to advance strategies that improve quality performance, health outcomes, member satisfaction, and care engagement.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Digital, Member Experience, and Customer Service teams to strengthen acquisition, engagement, retention, and service strategies across the member journey.
- Set and track measurable objectives and key results (OKRs) for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and accountability across cross-functional partners.
- Deliver compelling analyses and executive-level presentations that frame strategic challenges, synthesize insights, and articulate actionable recommendations.
- Guide research and market analysis, including hypothesis development, industry benchmarking, competitive assessment, and financial modeling.
- Partner with senior leaders and members of the Executive Management Team to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
- Mentor and develop high-performing direct reports and project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, strategy development, business transformation, or related leadership roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Proven success in developing and executing growth strategies that drive membership, engagement, customer experience, and business performance.
- Demonstrated experience leading executive-level presentations and building alignment across senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Track record of mentoring and developing talent.
- Ability to rapidly build trust with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership and management experience.
- Experience leading agile, cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise objectives.
- Healthcare, health insurance, consumer services, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
- Experience in consumer strategy, product strategy, growth strategy, customer experience, or business transformation.
- MBA, MPH, MHA, or other advanced degree preferred.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
