The Senior Consultant (manager) plays a key role in building engagement and developing culture among the 35,000 associates, providers, and volunteers at OhioHealth.This position manages content creation and strategic communication plans specifically for OhioHealth physicians, APPs, Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) and other clinical communication support, as needed, and is accountable for supporting Clinical Enterprise leadership.
This role develops and executes strategic internal communication plans and content that educates, motivates, and engages audiences. The position collaborates with peers in the Marketing Communications department to maximize content opportunities, create integrated strategic marketing communications plans and provide high-value content experiences for our internal audiences.
The senior consultant serves as the liaison with various executive leaders and is an active member of integrated teams throughout the organization.
While this position is not a leader of people, ability to lead through influence and mentor junior team members is required for success.
*This position is considered hybrid, with time in office and working from home

Minimum Qualifications:

- Field of Study: Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Web based communications (intranets), online publication and social media experience . 7-10+ yrs. in communications, including executive and technical communications experience.
- Ability to influence leaders on communication issues and comfortable and confident constructively coaching senior executives.
- Strong leadership abilities as both a formal and informal team leader.
- Experience with multi level, matrix reporting work environments.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in creating and implementing strategic integrated communications plans, with a track record of successful results in a service industry, ideally healthcare, with internal and external audiences. Effective and innovative communications experience and skills with a strong aptitude for communications strategy.
- Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to communicate thoughts clearly and simply is essential.
- Superb oral communication, interviewing, researching and presentation skills. Innovative in collaboration and problem solving with other departments and at all management levels.
- Ability to solve problems and lead by influence to achieve results.
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure; meet strict timelines and budgets, and to thrive in a fast paced environment.
