Job Description

Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team ensures that our global fulfillment and operations networks run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. A Program Manager in Central RME will drive initiatives that optimize operational capacity, enhance network performance, and deliver measurable improvements. This role focuses on program execution, addressing operational barriers, implementing standard work practices, and collaborating with RME, non-RME stakeholders, and Operations teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives impacting operations; develop solutions collaboratively with RME, non-RME, and Ops stakeholders.
- Partner with RME, non-RME, and Ops stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis, eliminate operational barriers, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
- Maintain and update capacity models including data inputs, methodology documentation, and output validation to support capacity utilization goals.
- Use analytics for data-driven decision-making; monitor performance and escalate issues requiring corrective actions.
- Create and maintain program artifacts including business requirement documents, initiative plans, and status reports.
- Implement standard work practices that improve key business metrics and translate lessons into standards across assigned sites or programs.
- Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and management; inform decision-making through clear narratives and data-backed recommendations.
- Remove operational barriers through hands-on problem-solving to deliver immediate results.
- As a Program Manager, contribute to a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience managing program delivery and communicating results to stakeholders
- Experience delivering results for cross-functional initiatives with process improvements, automation, and analysis
- Experience supporting execution of project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms
