Technical Service Owner
•Own end-to-end engineering design and implementation for the service
•Lead and manage the delivery team, including day-to-day coordination and execution – prioritize
•Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering stakeholders
•Point of contact to coordinate Affinity tech teams with CW engineering – prioritize
•Drive Scrum ceremonies and ensure strong delivery discipline – Important
Core API Skills
•AS400 / API Skills Required (good to have) – prioritize
•.Net Core, REST API design — endpoints, versioning, status codes - Important
•OAuth 2.0 / JWT authentication and API key management / RBAC
•OpenAPI / Swagger contract documentation
•JSON and XML payload handling and schema mapping – prioritize
•Salesforce REST API and platform event integration – Not a priority
Architecture & Messaging
•Service-oriented / microservices communication (good to have)
•IBM MQ message bridging between AS400 and modern services – not used
•AS400 REST exposure via IBM Integrated Web Services (IWS)
•Insurance carrier API integrations (quote, bind, rate) – prioritize
•API Gateway concepts — rate limiting, throttling, routing
•ETL and data transformation from DB2 for i to JSON
Testing & Quality
•Functional API test design and execution (good to have with contract testing)
•Consumer-driven contract testing
•API performance and load testing
•API mocking and stubbing for AS400 simulation
Salary Range- $80,000-$100,000 a year
