Position Overview:

Provides standard and advanced clerical duties for the Emergency Department, under the direction of the Charge Nurse and/or Manager. Interfaces with all departments, maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• Other: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• 2-3 years medical/secretarial/administrative
• EPIC experience
• Excellent computer skills and customer service

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Administrative:

• Ability to function in high volume setting
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Answer telephones
• Medical Terminology
• Proficiency with PC and computer terminal
• Compile statistics
• Maintain filing systems
• Maintain logs
• Schedule appointments
• Type 50-60 wpm
• Word Perfect required

Pay Range is $31.33 to $39.66 / hour
