Provide support for Mac system power validation and software development quality assurance efforts including:
•Collecting and analyzing power test results on Mac platforms.
•Reproducing reported issues with existing tests.
•Identifying and isolating issues using debugging and data analysis skills.
•Filing detailed bugs and communicating identified issues.
•Setting up and maintaining Mac systems on testing racks.
•Maintaining lab test equipment and infrastructure as requested by the team.
•Prioritizing tasks and communicating status regularly to the team.
•On-going documentation of test processes for future reference.:
•Making minor updates to the testing platform codebase.
•Proposing new testing methodologies to support Mac power validation.
Must-Have Skills
•BS in EE or Computer Science
•Organized
•Troubleshooting
•Strong familiarity with MacOS and comfort working with command line tools
•Basic competency in object oriented programming (Swift, Python preferred)
Preferred Skills
· Experience in testing HW
· Understanding of computer architecture, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
· Ability to quickly learn new technologies
· Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Location: Austin, TX (5 days in office)
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 a year
