Job Description

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.

Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

As our SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) Functional Lead, you'll lead the Procurement and Inventory Management workstream as part of a large-scale ERP transformation from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA. You will be accountable for solution design, functional delivery, stakeholder engagement, offshore team management and successful business adoption.

This is a hybrid role based in Naarm/Melbourne, requiring attendance at the client office 3 to 4 days per week.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead business process workshops and fit-to-standard assessments across Procurement and Inventory Management, defining future-state SAP S/4HANA MM solutions aligned to business requirements and SAP best practices.
  • Own MM functional deliverables including requirements documentation, process designs, functional specifications, configuration rationale, gap registers and WRICEF requirements, while configuring SAP S/4HANA MM and overseeing related enhancements, interfaces, reports and forms.
  • Collaborate with Finance, SD, Data Migration, Security, Integration and Architecture teams, lead offshore functional consultants, and support testing, cutover, deployment readiness and post-go-live Hypercare.

Skills and attributes for success

  • 8+ years of SAP MM implementation experience with strong SAP S/4HANA MM configuration expertise.
  • Experience delivering ERP transformations from Microsoft Dynamics or similar legacy ERP platforms.
  • Proven capability leading business workshops, stakeholder engagement activities and offshore delivery teams.

Ideally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Strong Procurement and Inventory Management process knowledge in complex enterprise environments.
  • Capability to manage defects, risks, issues and dependencies impacting a functional workstream.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate reviews and secure business sign-off.

At EY, we'll fuel you and your extraordinary talents in a diverse and inclusive culture of globally connected teams. We're proud to be recognised as the #1 WORK180 Endorsed Employer in the Top 101 Employers for Women 2026.
