RoleSynopsis
The Market Data Business Analyst will support bp's global market data strategy, governance, compliance, and cost optimisation activities. Workingcloselywithbusinesspartners,technologyteams,procurement,andexternalvendors,you'llensuretheorganisationhasaccesstotherightmarketdataproductsandserviceswhiledeliveringvalue,transparency,andcommercialefficiency.
The role involves assessing business requirements, recommending market data solutions, analysing subscriptions and spend, supporting vendor management and licensingcompliance,andcontributingtostrategicmarketdatainitiatives.Youwillalsoprovidereporting,conductproductandvendorevaluations,andpartnerwithstakeholdersacrossthebusinesstodriveinformeddecision-makingandcontinuousimprovement.
KeyAccountabilities
- Actasatrustedadvisoronmarketdataproducts,services,andsourcingstrategies.
- Supportmarketdatagovernance,compliance,andcostoptimisationinitiatives.
- Handle relationships withbusinessstakeholders,technologyteams,procurement,andvendors.
- Evaluatemarketdataproducts,vendorofferings,andbusinessrequirementstoidentifyoptimalsolutions.
- Deliverspendanalysis,reporting,andcommercialinsightstosupportdecision-making.
- Support central initiatives involvingmarketdataacrosstheorganisation.
EssentialCriteria&Qualifications
- Experienceinbusinessanalysis,preferablywithinmarketdata,trading,financialservices,orenergymarkets.
- Strongcommercialawarenessandstakeholdermanagementskills.
- Knowledgeofmarketdataproducts,subscriptions,licensing,andvendormanagement.
- Excellentanalytical,problem-solving,communication,andnegotiationskills.
- Abilitytoworkeffectivelyacrossbusinessandtechnologyfunctions.
- UnderstandingofdatamanagementconceptsandAIusecaseswithinabusinessenvironment.
