Job Description

Amazon Devices is looking for a 2D Animator to join Brand Studio. Brand Studio helps bring new device offerings to market—products, services, brands, and categories by creating a variety of digital assets that are used to engage and attract customers on Amazon.com and in Retail Stores. In this role, you will be creating animated assets used to engage and attract customers on Amazon.com, working alongside a global team of designers, writers, and production teams. This role is responsible for delivering bar-raising 2D motion, that helps our customers better understand how our products look and function.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in an iterative and collaborative process and professionally accept feedback and improve on it. In addition to strong 2D Animation skills, a candidate must have strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.

You should be comfortable engaging entry-level through mid-level stakeholders and working with many different types of creative professionals and creative outputs. Because the work is so varied, fast-paced, and high pressure, the person in this role should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will partner closely with a variety of peers and stakeholders such as customer research, brand strategy, content strategy, go-to-market, and site merchandising to achieve key strategic goals.


Key job responsibilities
Creation of high-fidelity 2D animations and motion graphics

Have a high degree of attention to detail when managing multiple projects, variations, and feedback from project owners

Work with producers and designers on design for concepts and execution

Adhere to Amazon and Amazon device brand attributes and style guides

Manage communication and gather design assets

Basic Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Photoshop, video editing, and related tools
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- 4-5 years of experience as a 2D Animator or similar role with interactive/ad agencies, design studios, production or Internet companies

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with motion design
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Design or related fields
- Ability to help with production design
