Job Description:

• Minimum of  5 year’s working in a Civils/Railway environment
• Experience of implementing HSE policy and management systems on complex railway project
• Effective working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
• Experience of supporting Environment Management System
• Strong knowledge of UK safety and environment legislation and industry standards
• Suitable level of experience in implementing and maintaining the ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems
• Drafting of HSE management and key performance indicator reports to the consortium team and client
• Competent in use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint

• Assist with following activities:

• Ensure the HSE compliance with UK legislation as Project and Company
• Assist with the HSE Management System according to the Contractual Requirements and HSE Policies
• Ensure the mandatory and contractual HSE activities and documents according to STS role within the Consortium (Principal Designer and Principal contractor) and according to CDM2015

• Functions:

• Supporting the HSE Department by Identifying HSE local Legal and Customer Requirements and supervise the correct implementation of STS activities (includes supplier and subcontractors) in compliance with STS Policies, STS Local Legislative requirements and Project HSE Management System
• Assist the HSE Department with the maintenance of all aspects of Environment and Safety Management Systems in accordance with ISO14001 and ISO 45001 scopes
• Carry out auditing of the Project and its Contractors and monitoring the application of HSE internal management systems (e.g. Drugs and alcohol Policy, etc...)
• Provide HSE advice and guidance as and when required to the Company and its sub-contractors
• Monitor compliance against requirements of Client Standards and others applicable standards
• Liaise with Scottish Environment Protection Agency and other statutory bodies as for obtaining relevant licenses, notices and all other Environmental requirements on ongoing basis
• Assist the project team create a Safe Culture and awareness through innovative ideas and best safety practice
• Co-ordinate and guide with the review and acceptance of sale systems of work and Review of Work Package Plans and ensure that all safety, health and environmental requirements are addressed on continuous basis (Work Package Plans)
• Development, implementation and review of safety Plans, CPP’s, EMP, Fire/Emergency Response Plan, HSE Risk Assessments and Method Statements (generic and site specific documents)
• Collect data for all HSE Key Performance Indicators and communicate to appropriate persons within the Company on Periodic basis
• Carry out on-site HSE inspections
• Carry out Accident & Investigation Reporting and Analysis for Safety and Environmental issues
• Undertake Health, Safety & Environmental briefings and training
• Attend and lead the periodical HSE Management Review
• Management of the administrative HSE aspect and contractual HSE constrains
• Provide HSE advice and guidance as and when required to the Company and its contractors
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required
