The successful candidate will manage technical projects and workstreams within our systems and software engineering group, maintain critical services used by tens of thousands of Amazonian teams, and drive new innovation by working with customers to develop greenfield solutions for Amazon's evolving needs.

Enterprise Engineering is responsible for securing, operating, and improving the portfolio of productivity applications that Amazonians use to delight customers. Our team's mission is to build the future of enterprise productivity application management. We are building an enterprise managed service provider (MSP) product, which permits our customers to obtain and manage their products consistently, safely, and easily, while providing the financial, security, and management features needed for large enterprises without our customers needing to worry about or manage those details themselves. We're providing services to support Amazon's move to zero-trust architectures. We're building predictive analytics capabilities so that the right tools are provided to Amazonians before they know they need them, so they're set up and ready to go on Day One.

As a Product Manger - Technical (PMT), you will be responsible for driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. In this role, you will provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, quantify the impact of making tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints. You will provide technical leadership that gets software applications built and integrated into the AWS ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders across various design, software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.

Our ideal candidate will have a broad project and product management background, with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational technical programs, and will have a deep technical background in building platforms supporting user bases of 100k or more.


Key job responsibilities
In this customer obsessed role you'll work cross-functionally with our security, accessibility, financial, and legal organizations, development, customer and product support teams, and our service integration partner product managers to develop and sustain our product development roadmap.

You'll be the primary voice of our customers and translate their needs into actionable features using data and verbatim feedback to prioritize features and functionality while serving as the wide-angle lens to determine new product support needs and evolving portfolio requirements.



A day in the life
You'll work closely with the product manager for the third party application management program to work your product roadmap into the overall program.

You'll maintain a working relationship with upstream and downstream teams to ensure transparency between all teams, identifying dependencies, aligning roadmaps and timelines.

You will identify and meet with service owner teams that can make use of our product and work with them to understand the onboarding process, while actively listening for pain points to drive improvements.

About the team
The Core automation and management services team originated out of a need to automate the administrative effort of managing business productivity applications at Amazon scale. Our phase one work includes building the foundational technologies needed to standardize and automate operational support of third-party applications. Phase two, beginning in 2024, will build on these engineering constructs to add automated systems integration features and user interfaces, reducing development and engineering effort needed to use our product.

Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in driving adoption of new tools
- Experience in improving business processes (documentation and re-engineering)
- Experience in negotiation with third-party software/service vendors
