Your Role and Responsibilities

This DBA position is in support of the IBM Security Verify (ISV) product. ISV is IBM’s premier IAM solution build on top of Docker and OpenShift in IBM Cloud and AWS, this SaaS services is consumed by IBM as well as other external organizations. This position will be onsite in IBM’s Costa Rica location. The Ideal candidate will be:

• DBA resource for an end-to-end SRE Squad supporting a highly complex Information Data Tier solutions.
• Developing business solutions in an Agile environment with focus on Continuous. Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Ability to bridge the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology.
• Utilize multiple approaches to facilitate Discovery: Modeling, Lean, Agile Design Thinking, etc.
• Demonstrated organization and communication skills, especially with management and executives.
• Strong work ethic, and strong eagerness to learn.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in Application Data Base Administration and Data Architecture
• Experience in Implementation of Physical DB2 databases
• Experience in Logical and Physical Database Design
• Experience in DB2 utilities knowledge including Cross Loader
• Experience in Stored Procedure experience
• Experience in DB2 Performance Tuning
• Experience in Replication knowledge (QREP,SQLREP, others)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in working in an Agile environment and in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Agile metrics.
• Pure Data Analytics (PDA) DBA, Hadoop, Apache Spark, DASHDB a plus.
• Java, XML, User Interfaces, Webservices, C++
• Automated testing
• Application business controls compliance, SoX
